The Ford Edge only gets minor updates for 2020, the most notable of which is a new styling package. Dubbed the Titanium Appearance Package, it adds 20-inch polished aluminum wheels, body-colored lower side cladding, some exterior chrome and brick red accent stitching on the interior. Six new color options are also available for 2020.
The 2020 Ford Edge is offered in four trim levels; SE, SEL, Titanium and ST. The SE, SEL and Titanium are all powered by a 2.4L EcoBoost turbo 4-cylinder engine making 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. The ST trim brings more performance to the Edge with a 2.7L twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost engine, making 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. All engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Front wheel drive is standard in the SE, SEL and Titanium with all-wheel drive optional. The ST comes standard with all-wheel drive. Ford's intelligent all-wheel drive features All-Wheel Drive Disconnect, which disengages the rear axle to improve fuel efficiency.
Even in the base SE trim, the Edge comes well equipped. Standard equipment includes 18-inch aluminum wheels, deep tinted glass, power-adjustable mirrors, LED headlights and taillights, rain-sensing wipers and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The audio system is a 6-speaker system with Ford's SYNC infotainment system including Bluetooth connectivity and satellite radio. Convenience features are plentiful, including remote keyless entry, push-button start, cruise control, a leather/metal shift knob, four 12-volt power outlets, smart charging USB port, blind spot monitoring system and lane-keeping assist.
Stepping up to the SEL trim adds heated mirrors, a reverse sensing system, dual-zone temperature control, leather wrapped steering wheel and automatic headlamps. The infotainment system is upgraded to Ford's SYNC 3 system.
The Edge Titanium trim includes 19-inch wheels, leather trimmed power-heated seats, speed-sensitive wipers, LED fog lights, hands-free liftgate, wireless charging pad, remote start and a premium Bang & Olufsen 12-speaker audio system with Ford's SYNC 3 infotainment system. An optional Titanium Elite Package adds 20-inch aluminum wheels, unique front bumper lower fascia, body color rear bumper and side cladding with chrome inserts.
Top-of-the-line Edge ST trim comes with 20-inch wheels, sport-tuned suspension, leather-trimmed bucket seats with Miko cloth inserts, steering-wheel mounted shift paddles, 8-inch touchscreen and unique exterior features to set the ST apart.
Several options are available among the different trim levels, including a dual-headrest DVD entertainment system, panoramic vista moonroof, wireless charging pad, hands-free liftgate, heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, voice-activated touchscreen navigation system, premium 12-speaker audio system, heated and cooled front seats and heated rear seats
Standard safety features across the Edge lineup include anti-lock brakes, stability control, tire pressure monitoring and a rearview camera. Also standard is Ford Co-Pilot360, which includes auto high beam headlights, BLIS blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert, lane keeping assist, pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking and a rear view camera.
